Species List: 01-07-2017, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Queensland

10 species sighted at La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld, 1-07-2017

Julie and Terry on this single shore entry dive of 104 minutes. Maximum depth 6.0 m, 20 C water temperature and 5 m viz. Things have been a little slow in the river for quite some time with nothing like the usual number of critters or species seen since late last year.  It is interesting however that a few species, that have been absent for some time are starting to reappear. Could this be the start of a resurgence! It was good to find the species we are calling Gymnodoris nigricolor again. These critters move at a very fast rate across the substrate.
